Hunt Real Estate Capital
John Sloot is a Vice President for Hunt Real Estate Capital, focusing on originating, term, and bridge loans for multifamily & commercial real estate properties across the country. All executions are direct through HREC’s Agency relationship (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac), FHA/HUD and HREC’s Proprietary Lending Programs.
Prior to joining Hunt, he was an Assistant Vice President in Associated Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group where he provided support and asset/portfolio management needs for the group. He was responsible for managing a commercial real estate portfolio of 40+ assets/ credit facilities with commitments totaling in excess of $200 million. Mr. Sloot also assisted the group in closing in excess of $500 million in new commitments during his time with the company. Before joining Associated Bank, he was a Sr. Commercial Real Estate Analyst at BMO Harris Bank (fna Amcore Bank) where he was in charge of underwriting real estate debt transactions.
Mr. Sloot began his career and received formal credit/underwriting training through MB Financial and their Leadership Development Program where he rotated through various divisions of the Commercial Bank.
Throughout his career, he has assisted in closing over $1 billion in real estate transactions.
Mr. Sloot graduated from Roosevelt University with an MBA in Real Estate and received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Roosevelt University.
